How we calculate New Zealand take-home pay
The calculator applies progressive income-tax brackets and estimates the ACC earners’ levy up to the annual liable-earnings cap.
Included
- Individual income-tax brackets for the stated tax year.
- An estimated ACC earners’ levy with an annual earnings cap.
Not included
KiwiSaver contributions, student-loan repayments, Working for Families, child support, tax-code differences, secondary income, and eligibility-based credits are not fully modelled. The Independent Earner Tax Credit is not automatically applied.
